Ninasam Theatre Residency 2014

INFORMATION FOR ALL THEATREWALLAHS!

India Theatre Forum is bringing to you another unique opportunity of Theatre Residencies at theatre Institutes and Organisations within India.

This is the 3rd in the series of Theatre Residencies organised by India Theatre Forum and has proved to be very popular since it’s inception in 2013. Within this we partner with theatre organisations to host around 15 people within the space / campus of the organisation for up to 6 days for an intense study tour of theatres in our country.

This residency is being offered by NINASAM Theatre Institute, Heggodu, Karnataka.

As part of the NINASAM residency, you will get the opportunity to:
1. Stay on the campus of NINASAM Theatre Institute
2. Interact with students and faculty
3. Watch the NINASAM Theatre Institute Festival
4. Watch performances by The Drama School, Mumbai, as part of the festival
5. Have discussions around the performances
6. Tour Ninasam campus
7. Witness demonstrations of teaching methods of NINASAM
8. Access NINASAM library and archives
9. Interact with the Heggodu village theatre community
10. Get a glimpse of the history of Kannada Theatre
11. Get a practical insight into the history, values and functionality of NINASAM.

Dates: 11th May to 16th May 2014

Number of seats: 15

Age criterion: 25 years to 40 years

Cost: Rs. 9000/- for all days. This cost includes food and accommodation for all 7 days. The cost of travel to and from Ninasam is to be borne by the participants.

Last date for application: 5 April 2014

Accomodation will be provided in the NINASAM student dormitories with shared bathrooms.
